Northeast Insurance Advisors was
Started with a Few Simple Goals:

Be a part of the community. Look out for our neighbors. Lend a helping hand when things go wrong. As an independent, full-service insurance agency, we can help you find the insurance coverage that fits your needs best. We know you don’t spend your day thinking about insurance, which is why we do!  As your advisors, we can help you understand your policy (because, yes, insurance is complicated) and meet your needs as they change over time. We can help with all of it, in one place, at one time, face to face.

You have a personal doctor and a personal attorney…
why not a personal insurance professional.

Marcia McKinney
Principal • 612.314.0688

After dedicating over 20 years to restaurant/catering sales and marketing, Marcia chose to enter the insurance industry (truthfully, only after T made the suggestion). Insurance is the perfect fit for her passion in working with and educating others on how to plan for the future while protecting what matters most today. A single parent of a 19 year old daughter, Marcia loves her many animals, home improvement projects and gardening. In her free time she volunteers with the Humane Society and Pet Project, a local charity that helps families in transition provide food and supplies for their pets.

Taras “T” Karkoc
Agent, Long Term Care, Disability, Health, Employee Benefits • 612.314.0688

Taras, or “T” as his friends know him, was born in Northeast Minneapolis and now lives in the neighborhood with his wife Jennifer, son Seamus and a menagerie of rescue animals. After a career in the nonprofit world, T chose the insurance industry for two reasons: 1) it gave him a chance to apply his business acumen and 2) he genuinely enjoys helping others. The latter explains why, when he’s not helping clients with insurance, he’s helping out in the neighborhood via the Saint Anthony East Neighborhood Association Board of Directors and the East Minneapolis Exchange Club. He’s also involved in Project Homeless Connect and the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation.

Olia Heinecke
Marketing Director • 612.314.0688

With past experience in experiential marketing and event sales, Olia thrives on making connections within the community and finding ways to partner with other businesses. A natural problem-solver, she’s known for her ability to save the day for clients. Outside of the office, she looks for ways to save the day for those in need. Having grown up in a tight-knit Ukrainian family that always found love, comfort, and security around the dinner table, she appreciates the opportunity to volunteer with Second Harvest Heartland and their Meals for Minds program. She enjoys spending time with her husband Tom and granddaughter Eva, walking her dog and catching up on her favorite TV dramedies.
